18.04.2024On Wednesday, 17 April, the Automated Driving Alliance was launched at the KV Business School in Zurich. The event was organised by the Swiss Transit Lab in collaboration with the Office for Mobility of the Canton of Zurich. Participants included representatives from the cantons of Aargau, Appenzell, Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Graubünden, Lucerne, Neuchâtel, Nidwalden, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Thurgau, Vaud, Zug, and Zurich, as well as ASTRA. The objectives of the first meeting were the presentation of the ordinance on automated driving by ASTRA and the joint discussion of the associated challenges at cantonal and municipal levels.
In various presentations and working groups, the main focus was on joint cooperation between the cantons, cities, and municipalities with regard to automated mobility. In addition to the ordinance, new tasks, responsibilities, resources, and the topic of knowledge transfer were discussed in particular.
The topics will be further elaborated in two working groups until the next meeting in September. The results will be made available to the cantons, cities, and municipalities via a joint communication platform.
